Goodbye TSJ 48, welcome XTJ 52+
The Duomo di Milano, Milan Cathedral in Italian, is one of the most important monument in Milan that everybody can admire and remember while visiting the city.
It is the world’s largest Gothic cathedrals, located in the heart of the city, which construction began in 1386 and took five centuries to complete. During this time, various architects, sculptors and artists contributed to the famous construction program known as the “Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo”. The result is an impressive and unique piece of architecture, which merged the international Gothic style with the Lombard Romanesque style.
The external structure is covered with white and pink marble and the roof is covered in openwork pinnacles and spires crowned with sculptures that overlook the city.
On the highest spire of the temple is the “Madonnina”, a gilded bronze statue representing Madonna, which over years it has become a symbol of Milan.
The interior is elegant and stately thanks to its large sculpted marble columns that reach the ceiling. Large paintings adorn the walls of the temple and about 2300 statues are located inside.
XTJ 52+ for the “Duomo di Milano”
A new Spider Lift Ragno XTJ 52+ on wheels was delivered to the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo on Thursday 1 December 2022, in replacement to the Ragno TSJ 48 used for the maintenance of the Cathedral for more than twenty years.
The XTJ 52+ is considered the “colossus” of the Palazzani range. It offers an exceptional working diagramme, fast and precise movements at any height.
The area manager system adjusts the outreaches automatically, according to the stabilization and the load (120/230/400 kg), always allowing 660° rotation, making it extremely simple to use. It is the best solution for rental, ideal for construction site work, external and internal maintenance and restoration works. Thanks to the bi-energy motorization and the non-marking wheels, the Ragno XTJ 52+ will be able to operate inside the Cathedral for all maintenance and cleaning both indoor and outdoor. In addition, the basket is interchangeable with the 980 kg winch.
