HYBRID2 – PALAZZANI GOES GREENER AND MORE EFFICIENT
Often we hear and talk about “Hybrid machines” recently, but not everybody knows all details distinguishing the different types of Hybrid offered on AWPs.
A Hybrid power is equipped with a propulsion system with two or more components, for example electric motor and diesel engine, which work in synergy each other.
Palazzani Industrie has always paid attention to the most up-to-date technologies and green solutions. It’s been years since Palazzani Spider Lifts are available in fully electric or hybrid basket capacitys. However, every concept is in constant evolution following the fast technological growth, and Palazzani R&D Department has recently evolved the first generation of HYRBRID, with a new project called “HYBRID2”.
Before, the Palazzani HYBRID generation was equipped with two types of power, Diesel and electric motor, without a strong collaboration between them, since the market was not very demanding.
HYBRID2 has been evolved to offers much higher performances and lower level of emissions thanks to a perfect synergy between the electric motor and the diesel engine.
With this new system, the operator can manually chose among the following 4 performing modes:
ECO mode – This is the main mode, where the electric motor provides power for all maneuvers, even the most important ones as transfer and boom extension, without any help from the engine. This mode grants top performances and long battery autonomy, thanks to the efficiency of the electric motor and the software management optimization.
The performances are excellent and never been achieved before. Fast and lasting, to work all day long, without any worry or need to recharge the battery.
AUTO mode – In this mode, the machine works mainly as in ECO mode, while the engine automatically turns on when it is needed to recharge the battery, to operate with no emissions and to preserve the battery cells.
FULL power mode – for severe working conditions. In this mode, the battery is always charged near the max level, with a similar management as the AUTO mode, in order to grant good autonomy when it is switched back to ECO mode.
